Hypericum androsaemum (likely)
A small multi-stemmed shrub that came free with the tall holly. The leaf check points to tutsan, a shrubby St John’s wort: thin reddish stems and almost stalkless oval leaves in pairs, net-veined and pale underneath. Yellow flowers and red-then-black berries next summer would confirm it.
Its own pot sits sheltered inside the tall holly’s pot, so it has moved out and stayed put.
A small flowering and berrying shrub for a pot.
A gap-filler for a shady border or the wilder corner. It seeds itself about.
The name comes from the French toute-saine, “all healthy”. The leaves were once pressed onto wounds, and dried ones, which smell sweet, were kept as bookmarks in Bibles.

Ended up somewhere it never planned to be, and is making the best of it.
