Cotoneaster lacteus (likely)
A large, multi-stemmed cotoneaster from old stock. Sparse foliage and bare upper branches, which gives it an interesting structure. Leaves about 4 to 5 cm, deeply veined above and felted beneath: likely Cotoneaster lacteus, which is evergreen.
Bonsai: the multi-stemmed structure offers scope for a larger design, with possible deadwood features.
Leaf close-ups (top and underside) point to Cotoneaster lacteus: leaves about 4 to 5 cm, deeply veined above, thickly felted beneath.
Brought home from the garden centre. Roots not checked yet; tidying and styling still to decide.
A whole game about rescuing little birds. The berries are for them.
