Mentha aquatica (likely)
The big mint in the bottom of the pond, in a mesh basket. Fuzzy leaves and lilac pompom flowers point to water mint (Mentha aquatica), which bees and butterflies love. A piece has already been split off into a smaller basket.
Runners are escaping through the basket, so trim them back before they root into the gravel. The round-leaved creeper around its base is a separate plant (tbc).
A leafy marginal feature for the pond edge, with flowering stems adding seasonal interest.
Water mint is one of the parents of peppermint, a natural cross between water mint and spearmint.
Big, bushy plant in a mesh basket with lilac pompom flowers going over. Roots and runners escaping through the basket mesh and trailing over the edge. A division has been split off into a smaller basket (see Marginal baskets).
Swim through underwater forests of weed and kelp.
