Habitat: woven sycamore hurdle
A wattle hurdle woven by Kirsty from Ned's thinner branches, on a timber frame beside the pond. Panels now run round the pond and the sheltered bed, with more to come.
Sycamore isn't very durable outdoors, so expect it to weather to silver-grey and need replacing within a few years. Until then, and as it rots, it gives beetles, spiders and woodlice somewhere to live next to the pond and log pile.
