Mint bowl (chocolate, lime and peppermint)

Mentha (3 varieties)

A mixed mint bowl with three mints (as far as known):

• Chocolate mint (Mentha × piperita 'Chocolate')

• Lime mint (Mentha × piperita f. citrata 'Lime')

• Peppermint (Mentha × piperita)

Mint dies back in autumn and regrows from the roots in spring. Cut the old stems down to a few centimetres above the soil once they've gone over. Every couple of years, lift, split and replant the healthiest pieces in fresh compost, because mints get congested and one variety tends to take over the bowl.
