Chives (garlic and regular)

Allium tuberosum and Allium schoenoprasum

Garlic chives and regular chives growing together in one pot. The white, starry late-summer flowers are the garlic chives (flat leaves, mild garlic taste); regular chives have hollow round leaves and purple pompom flowers in early summer.

Pull out the dry yellow leaves and cut the clump back once it dies down for winter. Deadhead the flowers if you don't want seedlings everywhere. The clump can be split in spring to make more plants.
