Scarlet lily beetle

Lilioceris lilii

Found whilst pruning the thuja, which it has no interest in eating: it eats lilies and fritillaries, and in October is most likely looking for somewhere to spend the winter.

Very red, and hard to get a shot of: it would not hold still.
