Purple salvia
Still flowering its heart out in late September, 28 Sept 2026

Purple salvia

Salvia (likely 'Love and Wishes'; tbc)

A salvia with deep burgundy calyces and magenta-purple flowers. It looks very like 'Love and Wishes'.

A real bee and butterfly magnet. Only borderline hardy, so give it a thick mulch over winter, and don't cut it back until spring, when new growth appears.
