Lavandula (likely angustifolia; variety tbc)
A compact lavender with narrow silver leaves, most likely an English lavender; variety tbc. Grown on from a plug in a fabric grow bag shared with a gazania, then planted out beside the veg bed in October 2026.
The fourth lavender along the allium bed, and the one most likely to shrug off the winter.
A low silver edging plant for the veg bed, with summer flowers for the bees.
Lavender takes its name from the Latin lavare, to wash: the Romans scented their baths with it.
Moved out of the grow bag it shared with the gazania and planted along the edge of the veg bed, with the three French lavenders.
