Our garden

Bonsai, garden trees, houseplants and the odd volunteer seedling.

This is our little online catalogue of everything growing in our garden, made for friends and family. It's a work in progress, and there's always something new going in.

Feet of clay

The fruit trees are moving off the patio and into the garden, barring the pear, which is in no state to be moved anywhere.

Our soil below the turf is pretty much clay, several feet deep. So I bought a mattock! I've always wanted one for the garden. So, with predictable results, the tree is in & ready to be trained up this old arch - the other one will be going in the other side, when the feeling returns to my finger.

In other news, two of the five rosemary cuttings haven't made it. My fault: I left them too long in the pot they arrived in before moving them to a lighter mix. The other three are doing very well for themselves.
