A haircut and four lavenders
The thuja has been trimmed, four lavenders have gone in beside the alliums for science, and two silver inch plants have arrived.

The thuja has had its brown bits trimmed back to green. It is potted in the same heavy clay the cherry laurel came in, so the roots are next, once the compost ingredients arrive.
All four lavenders have been planted along the edge of the allium bed. French lavender is not supposed to enjoy a winter in the ground. We'll see; it's for science.
Whilst tidying, Hamish's original label turned up. Scotch bonnet. Nobody was surprised.
The friend behind the rosemary cuttings has sent two more: silver inch plants, rooted, striped on top and purple underneath. They will be indoors for the winter, where they will presumably try to take over.
